Sally grew up in East Tennessee and fell in love with agriculture during a college internship at a community farm in Knoxville. She went on to manage community gardens, growing produce to donate to food pantries and teaching gardening lessons for after-school groups. She spent several years coordinating programs for a small nonprofit with the goal of making healthy local food at farmers’ markets more accessible to low-income community members. Throughout Tennessee, Ohio, and eventually Colorado, Sally has worked on small vegetable farms, a dairy farm, and a cattle and bison ranch. Currently calling Nashville home, she splits her time between agricultural pursuits and musical ones, spending free time working on crafts and exploring Tennessee’s natural beauty on foot, bike, or horseback.
